Valinor Discovery, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") is the operator of valinrodiscovery.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors to our website, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to information collected through the Service and through direct communications with us.

A note on what we build: Valinor Discovery develops an AI virtual patient modeling platform for translational research and clinical development teams. Our platform processes de-identified and licensed aggregate cohort datasets to generate virtual patient distributions for trial population simulation and target prioritization. We do not collect, process, or store identified patient health records through this website, and we do not operate as a HIPAA covered entity or business associate in connection with website visitors. The data described in this policy relates solely to website users and inquiry contacts, not to clinical trial data our platform customers may separately handle under their own data agreements.

1. Introduction

This policy covers valinrodiscovery.com and describes our practices with respect to the personal information of website visitors and contacts. It does not govern data processed through the Valinor Discovery platform itself, which is subject to separate agreements with platform customers.

Applicable law context: this policy reflects our obligations under US Federal law, Massachusetts general law (including 201 CMR 17.00 data security regulations and Chapter 93A consumer protection), and we extend CCPA-style rights to all US residents as a matter of policy. Massachusetts does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute; the applicable framework is US Federal and Massachusetts general law.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you submit directly, including:

  • Contact details (name, email address, phone number) when you fill out a form, request early access to the platform, or send us a message;
  • Professional context you choose to share (employer, role, therapeutic area, development program stage);
  • The content of any messages or inquiries you send us.

Because our Service is directed at clinical development professionals, we may receive professional context that relates to therapeutic programs, but we do not request or collect individual patient data through this website.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit valinrodiscovery.com, we automatically collect limited technical information:

  • IP address and approximate location (city/region level, not precise geolocation);
  • Browser type, operating system, device class;
  • Pages visited, referring URLs, time on page;
  • Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5 and our Cookie Policy).

2.3 We Do Not Knowingly Collect Children's Data

valinrodiscovery.com is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to platform access requests and research inquiries from clinical development teams;
  • Assess whether a potential partner's program is a fit for the Valinor Discovery platform;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and our communications;
  • Send service updates and, where consent is required, research communications;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or unauthorized access;
  • Comply with legal obligations, including Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00 data security requirements.

We do not use website contact information to train machine-learning models. We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below.

4. Sharing of Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (including hosting infrastructure, email delivery, and analytics) under contractual confidentiality terms that restrict their use to the services they provide to us;
  • Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others;
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations, and to resolve any disputes. Inactive marketing-list contacts are purged after 24 months of inactivity. Server access logs are retained for 90 days and then aggregated. Inquiry records from clinical development team contacts are retained for up to three years consistent with our business relationship context. Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00 requires us to maintain a written information security program; our retention practices are reviewed as part of that program.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, restricted-access databases, and least-privilege access controls. Our security practices are designed to meet the requirements of Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use caution when transmitting sensitive information over the internet.

8. Your General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, and the ability to limit certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected] with a description of your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Massachusetts Residents

Massachusetts does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. As a matter of policy, we extend the following baseline rights to all U.S. residents regardless of state of residence.

9.1 Baseline Rights

  • Right to Know: request the categories of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: request deletion of personal information you have provided.
  • Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails or opt out via the link in each marketing message.

9.2 How to Exercise

Email [email protected] with a description of your request and enough detail for us to verify your identity. We respond within 45 days.

9.3 Sector-Specific Rights

If you are protected by federal sector laws (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA), those laws may give you additional rights with respect to data covered by them.

9.4 California Visitors

If you are a California resident visiting from another state, you may also exercise the rights granted under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a notice on the Service. We revised this policy in January 2026 following our angel funding close, which expanded our sub-processor relationships and investor reporting context.
